In order to expand its user base and also to make existing customers come online, Airtel has made strategic plans. As part of it, Airtel introduces exciting offers on Data packs and in app downloads. Idea was the first telecom operator to launch offers on data packs and is followed by Airtel. According to Airtel the main goal of launching this offers is to give more data back to its customers and encourage new customers to come online.
Airtel introduces exciting offers:
Airtel comes up with two offers for its new and existing prepaid customers.
1.The first offer is 50 percent of Data back for in app downloads during “Happy Hours”. And this offer is particularly for prepaid customers.
2. The second offer is regarding an increase in data pack by up to 67 percent.
Airtel introduces Happy Hours
So Airtel in the first offer gives Data back of 50 percent to users for all the in-app downloads which are scheduled for 3AM to 5AM. This time period is termed as “Happy Hours”. Say if a user downloads 100MB of Data from mobile apps between 3AM to 5AM, then the user gets 50MB Data back free. This offer will be activated to new prepaid users automatically.
As it becomes difficult for users to download during this time period, Airtel wants the customers to schedule downloads to start at Happy Hours. Airtel also encourages app developers to integrate the feature of scheduling downloads to start at this particular time. For this Airtel also gives free API to developers.
There are few apps like YouTube and FastFilmz that have already integrated the API into their apps from Airtel, which allows users to schedule downloads to start at 3AM. Airtel tells that this concept of Happy Hours would help to utilize the network efficiently and also reduces the congestion during peak hours. This is because the less priority downloads are scheduled to download during Happy Hours.
Airtel offers increased Data up to 67 percent
Coming to the second offer from Airtel it has increased the Data pack by a maximum of 67 percent. For a Data pack of Rs 655, 5GB is offered while previously it was only 3GB. Similarly for Rs 455, 3GB is offered instead of 2GB. For all the updated Data plans visit the site www.Airtel.in.
Airtel introduces exciting offers and on doing so tells that it will definitely increase the data usage, but at the same time would also encourage the new mobile users to go online.
