- Turn on your computer.
- Now swipe your mouse from the right corner on your laptop screen and a window will pop with search, share, start, Devices and Settings options.
- Tap on to the devices and click on Add a Wireless display.
If you are able to add the device then your PC supports Miracast. If you are not able to add devices then get drivers for your PC. Check the support page on your PC manufacturer’s site and install drivers yourself. In case if your PC doesn’t support Miracast option. No worries you can still connect your laptop to smart Tv as well as a normal HD Tv. All you need is to get a Wireless Mini display receiver dongle. You can get some on amazon. How to project laptop screen to smart tv wirelessly:
Now once you have added a wireless display in your device list. You can screen mirror laptop screen to smart tv by following this guide.
- Tap on Devices > click Project, and then tap or click the wireless display you want. You will find the following four options. Here’s a brief note about each option.
PC screen only:. You’ll see everything on your PC. (When you’re connected to a wireless projector, this option changes to Disconnect.)
Duplicate:. You’ll see the same things on both screens.
Extend:. You’ll see everything spread over both screens, and you can drag and move items between the two.
The second screen only:. You’ll see everything on the connected screen. Your other screen will be blank.
