Lenovo the Chinese electronic giant has officially announced the launch of its new series Z1 powered by ZUK. ZUK the new sub brand is constrained to online stores only. The launch of this smartphone is scheduled on May 10th at 12:00 pm. Lenovo’s ZUK was already launched in China earlier in Aug-2015 with a price tag of ¥1700 (approx. Rs 17800/-).
Lenovo Z1 is powered by 2.5 GHz 801 Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which is Quad-Core CPU and 578 GHz Adreno 330 GPU. The display of the smartphone is 5.5 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) Pixels which bares 401 ppi. The contrast ratio is 1500:1 and supports 100% NTSC color gamut with up to 178 degrees viewing angles. Lenovo Z1 comes out of the box with android 5.1 Cynogen OS and will be further upgraded to 6.0 (Marshmallow). The Snapdragon 801 is coupled with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. There is no memory card slot which seems to be disappointing for heavy users. But on the other side Lenovo gives 64GB internal memory which seems to be more than sufficient for average users. Lenovo Z1 has 3MP with 1.2 µm, Dual LED Flash and optical image stabilization for primary camera. The secondary is of 8MP with 1080P@30fps. The add-ons to this smartphone are fingerprint sensor, Dual Nano-SIM slots with 4G enabled on both SIM’s, Metal Frame, Bluetooth v4.1, WiFi and USB Type C. Lenovo Z1 is packed with a huge non removable Li-Po 4100 mAh battery which is supposed to have a stand by up to 526 hrs(3G) and talktime up to 38 hrs (3G). It comes in two colors White and Dark space Grey. It also supports USB OTG, 2.5A fast Charging. The dimensions are 155.7mm x 77.3mm x 8.9mm and weighs 175gm.
